Its that time of year again, when the “old guards” hung their shoes up after their much hard work and service. But it is not without losing a part of themselves, a self that is formed and constructed out of the very members who constitute the very foundation of the society. Alas, the time has arrived for the new generation of passionate individuals to spearhead the society towards even greater heights of achievement.

Hello and welcome to a brand new academic year. The NTU Sociological Society will be entering its third year and has prepared a foray of upcoming events in our calendar for the Division as well as to all NTUSS members. We have recently introduced ourselves to our lively bunch of Sociology Freshmen and since we are now a year older, we would like to welcome a new group of students to take the stage in our NTUSS Main Committee. Nominations have begun to come in and there is space for more candidates who wish to be a part our excellent team. Our final
Elections and the
Annual General Meeting will commence in
early October 2010.
The next major event would be our
annual public forum. The forum topic is 'hush hush' for now but it promises to be an exciting interaction. In between of course, the NTUSS will be squeezing seminars and workshops to increase the awareness of social concerns to the students and the larger NTU audience.
Naturally, we won't round up the year without holding our annual
Soci-Barbeque which is always a crowd pleaser. Well, come on? It's free food. So stay tuned as we flesh out our events for the coming semester and we hope to see you in our events.
